As I entered Poly, my life has changed. And I see myself grown more mature, perhaps not completely mature. Yet. But I've grown more mature. I've learnt a lot of things since the first day of school. I've learnt to make more new friends, adapt with the school environment and atmosphere, the surroundings, the weird modules ..
Slowly, I got closer to the guys without realising. They said I was the closest girl to them all, especially Derek and Cilong. Maybe it was because of the "boyfriend&husband" role, but that beats me too. Im always including both the guys and the girls if we have some activity or event going on.
Michelle kept saying she wasnt used to having close guy friends. And Ammelia is always doing her own things (or maybe no one asked her to join us, because she was too quiet). I tried everyways to make Michelle feel comfortable around the guys. And not out of place. Outings, events, activity was organised. We went to Lot 1 (and even had a Lot 1 clique), outing to Sentosa, movies, sleepovers. Its always been me that wanna go out, and asked this people out too. Until I was afraid I might annoyed some people (or perhaps all). Or even when it wasnt me who organised the outing, it wouldnt fail to have an incoming text saying, "Marlie! Want to go out?" "Marlie! Want to have dinner together?" or even "Hey Marlie! Want to come over my house .. ?"
That was when I start to see joy in Michelle's eyes. That made me happy. Satisfied. Accomplished. I love it when my girls and the guys get along so well. We went out almost everyday, and we werent sick and tired of seeing each other. Even when we couldnt meet up for some days, dinner was still an 'okay-go' for everyone.
And then, most of us were busy with our own stuff. Kaixin with her skates and camps, Jacq with her driving lessons, Yu Sheng with his girlfriend ..
Slowly the population of people who always went out together decreases. But we still try our best to make the outing an enjoyable and exciting on. I could see that everyone was happy as long as we were together.
Even when the exams were near. We even went out, just to study (but this picture, was when we wanted to buy Chee Meng's birthday gift).
We helped one another. We care for one another. We have the strong "friendship-love" that no one can describe for each other, since we bonded straight away. Not on our first day of school of course. But during our IP DAY itself, waaaayy before school starts. That is why, this class is very unique and special to me. Each and everyone of them.
We still went out together tho not all are available. Movies, dinner ..
Soon I see the gap between us. Perhaps not all of us, but in specific terms, gap between me and them (my heart aches to type this down. It took a lot of courage). No more "Marlie! .. " messages. No more outings (that I know of). Now, where had all this love gone to?
I'll always have to feel the excitement of the outings they had, through their individual blog. I avoid myself to bloghop to prevent myself from getting hurt. I told myself, "I've accomplished my task. Its to make Michelle feel comfortable with everyone of us, since she din get a very nice bunch of friends in her secondary school, other than wilson jojo and a few others .." And that was all that matters.
So, I've decided to reduce bloghopping and even considering closing down my blog since its so deadly now, XDD. As for now, its going to be a hiatus. For LONG.
And I wont take whatever is happening right now to heart, and just concentrate with my studies. As long as Im not forgotten and that I have my 7 ladies standing by me .. I'll be contented enough .. =)))
